Perhaps best would be to find a sponsor for the competition who can cover the costs associated with collecting and judging compositions. They, of course, would get their name on the competition. For instance "The Edmund B. and Helga M.S. Benningsworth 8bb comp comp" or "The Chicago Bears 8bb comp comp".

I am curious as to what part of the regulations were so offensive. I don't remember anything being unreasonable.

Ugh, see this is what I'm trying to study with ethnography. I just interviewed Jennifer, and I'd love to get some insights into the collaborative process akin to this. Would that be possible? Maybe I should contact you directly...

I was looking for Glass chamber music with flute and never came about Music in Fifths!! I don't know any of these works. I'm going to try to find someone who wants to drive to and from Chicago on a Wednesday night.

Hope to make it!

I was lucky enough to be one of 24 NEA Fellows in Classical Music and Opera Journalism. Part of our ten days together included hearing Jeremy Denk play just this piece a work that left us breathless and awed. Indeed it does sound as if it had been written for him and his insights into this remarkable piece were those of someone who inhabits the music as much as the air he breathes.
Looking forward to seeing you all in Cincinnati in January.
Happy New Year!
